
GERMAN INTERNATIONAL KITCHEN SPECIALIST
German international kitchen specialists are responsible for running and organizing the operations of a large kitchen. A qualified, well-trained specialist can take on high-level positions in the gastronomy industry with leadership responsibilities such as in the position of a banquet manager. In a globalized world, international cooking specialists are requested around the world. This program is upgrading all Asian professional cooking specialists to an international European upper-class level.
The Programm runs in 3 steps:
- Preparation Phase in Home Country
- Professional cooking skills
- Program application and service fee payment
- English or German B1 language level recommended
- Visa Application for German education and working permission
- Education Phase in Germany
- 7-month high-class vocational education from leading German specialists
- Fully equipped single apartments on university campus, sports facilities, food and shopping services
- German health insurance for medical needs
- International recognized German IHK academy certification
- Achieved DIMI master degree enables working permit in Germany up to 4 years
- Working experience in Germany
- German working contracts at Asia restaurants will be offered (minimum 3 contracts)
- German working permission
- German government will guarantee good salary payments
- German health insurance and all legal required social insurances

Step 1: Preparation phase in home country
The prerequisites of the German International Kitchen Specials are professional cooking skills.
- Successful completion of a relevant course of vocational training followed by one year of work experience
- Or successful completion of a different course of vocational training followed by two years of work experience
- Or at least four years of work experience
The training languages are German or English. Therefore, B1 level language skills are necessary to be able to follow the training courses.
Optionally a language course can be performed in German or home country to upgrade the German or English language skills.
The individual visa application will be fully supported by ThinkTank Networks. Necessary visa documents will be provided for German student and work permit visa.

Step 2: Education Phase in Germany
Education program contents
Learning and work methods Business related qualifications – 360 Teaching Units
- Business administration (120 TU)
- Accounting (120 TU)
- Company leadership (120 TU)
Specific operational qualification – 600 Teaching Units
- Leading and challenging colleagues (100 TU)
- Planning, implementation and monitoring of procedures (100 TU)
- Acquisition and care of materials (100 TU)
- Use of knowledge of food technology and nutritional sciences (200 TU)
- Advising guests and marketing products (100 TU)
Prerequisites
Business-related qualification
- Successful completion of a relevant course of vocational training followed by one year of work experience
- Or successful completion of a different course of vocational training followed by two years of work experience
- Or at least four years of work experience
Specific operational qualification
- Successful completion of testing in the “Business-related qualification”
- An additional year of work experience above and beyond the requirements named above in paragraphs 1 and 2
- Or an additional two years of work experience above and beyond the requirements named above in paragraph 3
Living on the German university campus
The campus is located in the east of Bavaria, the economically strongest state in Germany. It is located in a green town with clean air and magnificent nature. the next metropolitan city is only 20 Minutes away with a lot of entertainment, shopping and student facilities. The campus will be shared with local and international students from all over the world.

Step 3: Working experience in Germany
After successfully passed IHK Academy certification, ThinkTank Networks will guarantee to offer every participant 3 to 5 job offerings in German Asia restaurants. The service includes the application and contract management. ThinkTank Networks will be your support for all questions around the working contract and visa topics.
The German Government Federal Employment Agency has established a special working permit program for Asian cooks. It enables educated cooking professionals and cook masters to work in Germany. The necessary working permission offered to the program participants. Cooks can work in Germany as long as they have a valid working contract.
Program participants will apply for the Education program and the working permission at the same time. The program will identify qualified employees at Asia Restaurants in Germany. German government proved working contracts will be offered to the program participants.
The monthly salary is regulated by the government labor agreement and stays at the minimum between € 2.246 in Bavaria and € 1.649 in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, dependent on the regional price index in Germany. Higher salaries can be negotiated with employers on request.
Within 4 years a total minimum salary of € 107.808 will be earned at the example of an employer in Bavaria region.
